good or bad luck? Or wait for better times
A great lesson from a great tradition, the Chinese, which puts man at the center.
Replace the center means that the "beautiful" or "bad" depends on the observer.
In this case, " Luck, luck, and who knows! ?
Here's the story:
Once upon a time in a remote little town a poor farmer who drew their living from a small field that he worked with his wife and son and with the help of a horse.
One day the fence was inadvertently left open and the horse ran away.
The neighbors, hearing the news, exclaimed: "Poor fellow, what bad luck, and now how will you work?".
The farmer said, "Luck, luck, and who knows!"
The neighbors were puzzled to hear that strange answer.
After a few weeks back the horse that had escaped, taking with him a herd of wild horses that were placed in the enclosure.
The neighbors, seeing all those horses, exclaimed: "What luck!"
The farmer once said, "Fortune, misfortune, and who knows!"
The neighbors were left even more perplexed to hear that answer.
few days later, while his son was a wonder of the horses, fell down and broke his foot.
The neighbors immediately exclaimed: "What bad luck, and now how are you doing?"
The farmer once said, "Luck, luck, and who knows."
The neighbors did not know what to think of the old. "Maybe it's crazy," he thought.
few weeks later appeared in the country some good young soldiers recruited for the war.
When they entered the hut they found the young man limping and obviously scrapped, while all the other young men were recruited.
Neighbors saw no more: "What a bunch of what luck!"
And the old farmer once said, unperturbed: "Good luck, misfortune, and who can say."
Thank you!
