Today on NNC a remarkable man who has influenced and continues to the lives of many people.

Fr Anthony de Mello, SJ (1931 - 1987) was a Jesuit and writer Indian .

Biography
Father de Mello was born in Santa Cruz, a suburb of Mumbai in India. He joined the Society of Jesus in 1947 at the age of sixteen not yet completed. It was later transferred, and then traveled to several countries to study and later to teach, mainly in Spain and the United States, where he became a psychotherapist. He soon became famous for his books on spirituality, religiosity that mixed Christian and Eastern Europe with his studies of psychology.



Back in India, began to organize a variety of spiritual retreats, and was generally considered a public speaker quality. De Mello established a prayer center in India, called 'Sadhana'.


died suddenly in 1987. His work are still in print and unpublished writings were published after his death.
